Bramberger-architects in cooperation with the japanese artist Keiko Sadakane gave the interior of the parish church of Paldau a convincing new face, which responds to the needs of the festive congregation of Paldau and, at the same time, provides an elevating atmosphere inviting to a silent and personal prayer apart from festivities.

To the former entrance the architects added an apsis, a building structure as it was already common in early Christianity.

Natural light floats into the room from the sides and from above casting stimulating shadows due to grilles installed sideways, which resemble a popular historical ornamental motif on east-styrian buildings,

The Madonna from the former high altar of the historical church got a beautiful new place with a dramatic daylight flood, likewise did St.Vitus, who now welcomes the faithful standing on the entrance column.

The artist Keiko Sadakane reacted to the new arrangement of the room and designed the altar, ambo, cross, Easter chandelier tabernacle, and the glass pane in the nave in her deliberately reduced, but still complex stile.
